Hi, and welcome to the About Us & Meet The Team page of my website. I'm Gary, the one pictured above with my daughter, and I'm the name and face behind Oxford Discos / Oxford Disco and Karaoke. I have been a DJ for around 25 years, in fact, since I was around 16, 17, when I first started DJing in a nightclub as a multi-genre DJ. As the years continued, in the years following, I DJ'd in many prestigious clubs around the country before working for another business where I provided my DJ services at private parties and weddings before going solo in 2014, which is when Oxford Disco & Karaoke was born.
My love for DJing is as strong today as ever has been and will remain the heartbeat of my passion. More recently, I wanted to give my clients the option to dream of bigger and better, so I started to incorporate other services to accompany my professional disco service. It was vital to me that I ensured I remain giving high-quality service that my clients are accustomed to, and still doing the best for them as if I were planning my own private event.

Oxford Disco and Karaoke started in 2014 when the proprietor and founder, Gary Coles, started sub-contracting Parties, Karaoke and 80s Club Nights from a previous employer, later going fully solo and gaining recognition from Greene King establishments, gaining new residencies and returning to some old venues.
News travels quickly, as does reputation! Very quickly, clients wanted to book us for their private parties and weddings. It was clear that other companies didn't always share Gary's vision of quality service, so we started investing in more equipment so we could provide more stunning services other than DJs, which is when Oxford Discos became the umbrella company for Oxford Disco and Karaoke, Boogie Bingo Live, Top of the Shots Photo Booth and Oxford Sweet Treats.
Over the years, Oxford Discos has become a well-established, respected, and trusted company in the event sector, helping to make a lifetime of memories for our clients and their guests. We are very proud of what we have achieved as a team, and for many years to come, this will continue.

Tom
Tom is an experienced DJ with over 10 years of mixing to his name. Tom has a fun personality and is, without a doubt, one of the best party DJs around. You will not be disappointed when Tom is on the decks, hyping up your guests for them to remember for years to come.

Kai
Kai has been DJing since he was very young! Kai is a very good and popular party DJ and loves a good party and wedding, where his knowledge of music is outstanding. Kai really comes into his own when he is dropping beats and throwing shapes behind the decks to a large crowd at festivals and clubs, playing his beloved house music.

Claire
Claire is the newest DJ to work alongside us. Claire started her DJ career around 20 years ago as a resident DJ in Faliraki, Greece. Claire returned to the decks in 2016 alongside Gary at Wedding Venues across the county. Claire predominantly performs at weddings, parties and at over 30s club nights.

Bridget
Bridget is the driving force behind our Wedding Fair exhibitions and the face you are likely to see alongside Gary at the fairs. Bridget is the lady putting in the hours in the background to ensure everything is in place to make your wedding spectacular.

James
James has been with Oxford Discos since he was 16. James looks after the Top of the Shots Photo Booth, ensuring your guests are looked after while they enjoy the booth experience. He is also really tall, so if you can not reach the props on top of the booth, he can.
